Nope. But bitching about when your particular exploit is closed is.

This mission is just as easy to run.I tried with my ranger and made it first try.Escape, dodge, whirling, lightning relfexes and troll does it easy.Didnt lose more than 100 health at the end.

I did not try the mission after the patch, but I can feel the pain. No matter how you play, a team mission that *MUST* be completed to progress to the next area should have build in safeguards to prevent that players get the feeling that it all was a waste of time when it fails at the very last moment. No matter how much you like teamplay, a last minute failure in any mission takes away all fun. And personally I think this is the one and only reason that we have runners in the game: on too many stages it feels like trial and error to make progress. Not everyone is an expert player who knows when to use what skills. In a game where 90% of the players are pugs the game mechanics should be more protective, and allow players to continue a mission after dying, restoring their game objectives. Nothing is as deadly for gameplay as repetitive mission failures...

No, we have runners because people think the game is to farm Orozars Quest or doing Smite runs. Running is the fastest way to get to the real game: farming!
Because, as we all know, whoever has the most gold & the most expensive (not best) equipment, wins.

really?
i had to get help to pass the cay mission, and the only way i did was that my friend knew this trick of standing in one spot after the first wave....
now anyone that isnt a warrior or a monk or has to use henchies will never get past othe than getting run by a wamo....
nad maybe we have some runners because a lot of silly players thiunk that getting tothe best stuff as fast as possible, so as to farm good areas...
but a heluva lot more players are getting Ran these days simply because they cannot make it without help...and they cannot make it with a henchies only team....and they cannot get invited, because they are not a favoued class, like wamo and monk are.
look, i can only play this game for a few hours a week, not a day....i cannot just arse about and walk thru everytihng like a lot of you might be able to, nor do i have the cash to pay for a run, even if i so chose to...which i would not, since i feel running your very first character to get to that point in the game is wrong.
and the next warrior anything to say a mission is easy....
for frell sake, take yourself off and try a necro or mesmer or ranger primary....
with no monk or warrior AT ALL.....THEN come back, and tell me how easy it is to get into a group, or compleat a mission as difficult as some of these accension ones are...
till then, pff.....you only know the easy route, so please, give us non wamo warrior players a reason not to ignore you cause you get it easy...

It can still be run o_O The runner just needs to tank the hits at the very end instead of hide in the 'trick' spot. Just means the runner needs a bit more skill than before :P and with the extra work required, it wouldn't surprise me if runners actually charge ~more~ for this mission than they did before!

Played through as mesmer and monk and necro too. If anything missions are easier for those classes than for a warrior.
Rayea: are you under the impression there's a fabulous endgame waiting for you at the end of the PvE campaign? Or that someone will congratulate you for completing the PvE campaign quickly? There isn't. The missions and the quests are the game you paid for. That's guild wars. It doesn't make sense paying people to run them for you - unless you want to get to a farming area. And of course you do.

Smiting Monk + Henchies...... NP. MM + Henchies..... NP. This is one of the easier Missions to just go ahead and complete.

Eh I dont know what you people believe I was thinking when I made that post.
I never ran sanctrum cay to get paid. I sometimes run my gf and she me when we need to get few quick levels, and I usualy do free Ascalon-Amnoon runs each week, but now it's nearly impossible.
I even tried to tank those monsters. Didn't succeed at first try. Those archers like to interrupt you.

i ran this mission for my guildies whenever they have new chars (i make it a point to never ever run someone playing the game through the first time). I also used to farm the undead for orr emblems for halloween/christmas stuff.
I never used the exploit, but rather i tanked all the white mantle solo (invinciwammo!) when the Vizier part came, the only thing to watch out for is savage shot from the seekers.

Well, we obviously thought you were complaining, simply due to the nature of your post, and frequent uses of the frowny face. If you want to report rather than complain, then don't give the impression that you dislike the fix. And it's "Sanctum" btw.

what sucks is that in Anet's attempt to make the area or a mission unrunnable means that it then becomes even harder for those actually trying to complete the mission.
As always when something is nerfed to prevent something, it makes it harder for those the nerf was not intended for.

If it were a hard mission, maybe so.
They didn't nerf anything; they just made the Mantle always attack when they're supposed to. It's a fix, not a nerf.

I had my lvl 14 warrior run through this mission and didn't know there was a bug, so I followed the runner and triggered all of the other enemies to come and just tanked them by kiting around a bit and using healing sig. Everyone else was crying that I messed everything up, but a minute later we were in amnoon. If you can't hold them off without the bug, then you have no skill.

What are you talking about? The mobs, which were intended to and were supposed to appear, weren't. That's a bug. Their main reason for editing this mission wasn't to make it unrunnable. It was to fix their mistake. On a group that's actually doing the mission, it doesn't make it any harder on you.

Just because you can't do it on the first try doesn't mean it's nearly impossible. You're not that good.
